	Interac Signworks is designed for rapid production of street works signing and guarding and diversion layouts for site personnel and clients. Use an existing background map, or make or modify a map using the programme, drag up to 500 signs and objects into position, add your own text, and print or save the result. Or start with one of the standard layouts within the programme... Signworks Version 6.0 includes 50 standard layout plans from the 2009 revised edition of the Chapter 8 Traffic Signs Manual. Select a standard layout from the thumbnail picture menu. Replace the sample background map with your own, modify the layout as required, and either save the result in editable form for further modification, or save it as a flat image file, or print it immediately. Signworks is a stand-alone programme enabling traffic management designs to be created and saved as editable files, which can be re-opened by any user of the programme and the contents modified or added to, without the need to learn conventional CAD techniques and using only intuitive click-and-drag methods. 	Create and save layouts made by positioning signs, objects and text for single and dual carriageway roads and motorways. Include your own map, or make one with the programme. All objects are selected and positioned with a simple click-and-drag method.
		Make Maps, and trace or modify existing maps, using over 300 objects comprising street sections, junctions, text, and a variety of islands.
	Make more use of square-shaped maps from the internet by rotating, resizing, and selecting suitable rectangular sections for use in the programme.

	All objects other than explanatory text can be rotated by right-clicking whilst positioning. The programme produces and uses background maps and drawings in either .bmp or .jpg format and 1000 X 500 pixels in size.
	Signs and objects are presented in groups and the user clicks once to switch between groups. All objects already positioned on the map can be moved and rotated at any time.

	A title and explanatory text can be dragged to any position on the layout. Text can also be written onto red, blue and yellow background plates, and rotated, enabling, for example, diversion signing to be customised:
	Saved layouts include all objects, positions and orientations, and all text items created by the user, but not the map which must be saved separately. Layouts are saved as small script files which can be used by others with the programme.
	Complex menus are dispensed with and a single click initiates the desired action:
